Training is the core of our business here at the Big Apple Motorcycle School. We have certified instructors whose expertise is to help you learn. We’ve helped train and license thousands of riders!
If you’ve never ridden before, we highly recommend our Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) Basic RiderCourse (BRC) at Heckscher State Park in East Islip (on the south shore of Long Island in Suffolk County). The BRC is an intensive two-day course with an online learning component (eCourse), in-person classroom study and 10 hours of on-motorcycle training and is conducted in a group of up to 12 riders with two instructors. All of the basics are covered in this course and the only prerequisite is the ability to ride a bicycle (and holding an automobile driver’s license)! We will supply you with a training motorcycle. If you are an experienced rider with your own motorcycle in need of a motorcycle license, we have a one-day course specifically geared to you! It is the MSF Basic RiderCourse 2 with License Waiver (BRC2-LW) for experienced riders. You can obtain your license without having to take the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) road test! We’ll also help bring your riding up to the next level with experienced RiderCoaches as trained observers. Please see Experienced Riders for more information and to register.
If you are a reentry rider, we’ll help you get back your riding edge. The Big Apple Motorcycle School offers Motorcycle Safety Foundation group skills practice courses plus one-on-one street rider packages. Whatever your present ability, we’ll work with you to develop and improve your riding skills. Our goal is to help you go beyond getting your motorcycle license and prepare you for real world challenges. Please see Skills Practice for more information and to register.
Also consider if the school takes all major credit cards – we do and allow you to pay online through an approved and secure credit card processor. We feel secure in the knowledge that our classes will meet and exceed your expectations and are unafraid of providing you with the additional assurance and convenience of credit card transactions. We also will provide and honor any class days and times. You should know in advance when your training will be provided – we’ll provide you with that before you pay.
