Here are some options if you want to stay nearby Heckscher State Park for your training:
CAMPING:
There are campsites for rent in the park suitable for tents or small campers. They are walking distance to our parking field (Parking Field #7). There is a bike/walking path linking them as well. The campground is $18 a night, but there is no electricity at the sites. There are water fountains every 2 sites and each site has a picnic table and charcoal grill. There are bathrooms with showers. There is a dump station with water if anyone comes in a trailer or RV. It’s nicely kept and shaded. Note for RV’s: The sites are grass and there is no electric! CABINS:
There are cabins for rent in the park as well. They are walking distance to our parking field (Parking Field #7). There is a bike/walking path linking them as well. The cabins range from $225 to $320 a night, and range in size from 1 bedroom to 2 bedrooms with loft. They sleep from 2 to 8 people. Cabin Details – HECKSCHER STATE PARK, NY – New York State Parks
HOTEL:
